KUALA LUMPUR - A video recording showing a man who resembles a senior Malay opposition leader having sex with a suspected foreign prostitute has become the newest scandal to rock the country’s political arena.
The 22-minutes long black-and-white video was recorded by hidden CCTV cameras in a hotel room in Kuala Lumpur on February 21.
It was shown to selected media personnel at Carcosa Sri Negara. The event was arranged by a mysterious man who was known only as “Datuk T”.
Press representatives were taken to a hotel room individually to view the video footage. They were required to give up all their belongings which included electronic gadgets, watches and pens.
The sex video was shown in several parts, beginning with the politician, a woman with fair East Asian features and another unidentified man in the hotel room.
The second part, recorded from four slightly different angles, showed the man receiving oral sex from the woman and then having sexual intercourse with her in several positions.
The sex act lasted 17 minutes before the man exited to the right, which seemed to be where the bathroom was.
Datuk T stated that he stumbled upon the video after he was asked by the politician to search for his Omega watch in the room where the sexual encounter had taken place.
He identified the man in the video as the prominent leader of an opposition party, saying that he wanted the media to watch the footage before sending the copy to the politician and his wife who is also an opposition figure.
“I am sending a copy of the footage to this politician and his wife. Once they have verified it’s him, they should quit politics.”
He also claimed that the video proved that the politician was not “the pious person with high moral values and integrity he portrayed himself to be and, therefore, not fit to be a leader.”
As for his reason for unveiling the video, Datuk T said “Why am I doing this? There is a limit to lies – ‘Enough is Enough’ and it is high time the public know ... THE TRUTH.”
